Dress: Gap
Cardigan: J.Crew
Belt: Forever 21
Boots: Steve Madden
Bracelet: J.Crew
I picked this dress up at Gap over the weekend when they were having their 30% off sale. It's a size too big for me, but I'm determined to make it work because I'm obsessed with the colors and the design. I think I might just use the money I saved from the sale on alterations. The straps just need to be shortened about an inch and the sides (under the arms) could stand to be taken in a little too. Shouldn't cost too much, I hope!
I actually wore this outfit yesterday to my second professional hockey game. It wasn't exactly the most practical outfit for a sporting event in a cold arena, but our team's main color is red and this was the closest thing I had to red that was clean. Before we left for the game, I decided to swap out my brown skinny belt for this yellow one. The brown belt just made the whole outfit look a little too "matchy-matchy" and I was in the mood to wear some bright colors since it was such a gorgeous day outside.
Don't forget to enter by 2-year blogiversary giveaway! It ends Wednesday at 11:59pm EST.

ReplyDeleteThis is so fabulous on you! Have been obsession with this print---tried on a tee at Gap this weekend that didn't work on me; didn't realize there was a dress! So perfect for Spring.

Adorable! I saw this dress on another blogger this week... it's SO cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that dress! It's so very un-Gap-like.
ReplyDeleteOh, Sara, I LOVE this dress. I WANT. Sigh...must...resist...too....many dresses!
ReplyDeleteI know, right?! I almost didn't even bother checking out the sale because they never have anything that I like (besides jeans).
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! I felt amazing in it. I actually think I'm gonna wear this outfit again this week to work since no one there saw me in it the first time I wore it :)
ReplyDeleteI tried on that tee too and the cardigan and wasn't a fan of either. Somehow they managed to make the print work on the dress though.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably a good thing that you're resisting because I honestly don't think you'd be able to find one in your size anywhere. I checked 3 different stores and the smallest size I found was a 6 :/
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone that the outfit is adorable! But I also wanted to mention your hair! It looks phenomenal in these pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress, and I don't think it looks too big at all, probably because you've accessorized it perfectly. Very cute!

I really like that dress. The way you styled it, you can't even tell it's too big.
ReplyDeleteI have purchased things that were too big before and thought I'd alter them and I never did. :(
