A great gift for someone who loves make-up is a subscription to Birchbox. I just found out about it not too long ago from a friend and I love the idea of it (she's gotten 2 boxes already and has no complaints so far)! You spend $10 a month (or $110 a year) and get 4-5 deluxe, high end beauty samples (haircare, skincare, make-up) sent to you in the mail. They send samples from brands like Nars, Benefit, Laura Mercier, Too Faced, etc. You can also accumulate points when you fill out their surveys and you can use those points to buy full size products at their online store. I've already signed up for one month and can't wait to see what I get in my box!

The LashStash Mascara Deluxe Sampler from Sephora is actually one of the things I asked my hubby to get me for Christmas. I'm still on the hunt for my holy grail mascara, so I thought that this would be a great way to speed that process along. Plus, I've only ever used drugstore mascaras, so I thought that it was about time I tried some of the high end options out there. The box comes with 10 mascaras and an eyelash curler and is reasonably priced at $40. This would be a great gift for a friend/mom/sister who loves beauty products or who, like me, can never seem to find the perfect mascara.

If your loved one is on the market for a new perfume, than the Deluxe Fragrance Sampler for Her might be just the gift for her. It's $50 and comes with 12 fragrance samples and a voucher for a free full-size version of one of the samples. If you want to spend a little more, there's also the Collector's Edition Fragrance Sampler For Her for $75. It only comes with 9 fragrance samples, but they're larger than the ones in the $50 set and it also comes with a voucher for a free full-size version of one of the samples. I think one of these just might make it on my birthday list :)

If you know a woman who's a gleek like me, then you should definitely consider getting her the Glee Christmas CD (I just got it and I love it!). Sure Christmas will practically be over by the time she gets it, but if she's like me, she'll still be listening to Christmas music well into the new year :)

Candles are always a great inexpensive gift to give friends, co-workers, or even family members. My favorites right now are these from bath and Body Works. They come in tons of different scents for the holidays and are on sale right now, 2 for $20. My favorites are Frosted Cupcake, Mint Chocolate, and Leaves :)

Your mom/sister/friend with have nothing but love for you if you get her a scarf to keep her warm during the cold winter months. My new favorite scarves are the infinity scarves, like The Grand Tour Loop ($58) from Anthropologie. They can be worn tons of different ways and don't have the fringe hanging down from the sides. Target, Old Navy, Forever 21, and H&M also have nice scarf selections at much cheaper prices.

Lauren Conrad Style would be a great gift for the fashionista in your life. In it, she talks about building your wardrobe, accessorizing, hair, make-up, and it also has several inspirational outfit photos.
If bath products are her thing, then a Lush Gift Set is the way to go! They range in price from $10 to $200 and each one comes with a variety of different soaps/bars/gels/etc. (the Bubble Bars and Bath Bombs come in fun shapes too!). I love that the boxes almost look just as cute as what's inside!
I already talked quite a bit about my love for my new Conair Infiniti You Curl in this post, so I won't go into a lot of detail about it here, but I definitely recommend it if you're looking for an inexpensive gift for someone who loves styling her hair!

When all else fails, get her a gift card to her favorite store or even iTunes. She'll love being able to buy whatever she wants and you won't have to worry about her being disappointed with your gift!
I hope that helped some of you and please let us know in the comments if you have any other great gift ideas for her!

I just got one of those curling irons on Overstock by Herstyler. I can't wait to use it and it comes in three different sizes. I've always seen them around the mall but never tried it out so I'm super excited!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Birchbox...I am definitely going to have to check it out! I got the mascara sampler for myself a few weeks ago. It is definitely a fun thing to play around with. I got one for my fiance's sister too. FYI if you are looking for a really great mascara, you should try Fiberwig at sephora. It is japanese and actually is made from proteins that build up into fibers and elongate your lashes. You can then put regular mascara on top to emphasize your newly long lashes. Plus it rubs off in the shower without eye makeup remover in these weird little balls. i love it.
ReplyDeleteI love your ideas Sarah! I'll be sending this link to my boyfriend as a hint.
