I was watching Regis and Kelly yesterday and they were talking about an article in one of the New York newspapers that gave the number of calories a person will consume in the average Thanksgiving meal. I guessed somewhere around 2,000 calories, give or take a few hundred, but boy was I wrong. Are you ready for this...3,493 calories! Are they serious? That's about double what I'm supposed to have in a day and that's only the one meal that day. I don't know about you guys, but I also eat breakfast and have leftovers for dinner (what can I say, I like to eat!). I don't even want to think about what all that adds up to!
My outfit today features the last item from my 30 that I hadn't worn yet (the dress), so you know what that means....Get ready for the desperation stage!

Dress: Anthropologie Fifth Form Shift
Top: Anthropologie Daring Darts Blouse
Tights: Kohl's
Shoes: Target
I love the pop of color that your red shoes give your dress. I will be consuming a lot of calories tomorrow too! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteYikes! I'm counting calories right now so I'm going to be very careful this Thanksgiving, but I can believe that calorie total... especially when you consider that one piece of pecan pie can have up to 450 calories alone!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a ton of calories! I'm like you, I love to eat. Each year I sign up to run a "Turkey Trot" race the morning of Thanksgiving - this year it's a 6K. It eliminates the twinge of guilt I feel when I go back for a second slice of pie. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what outfits you come up with for the rest of the month!
That is a ton of calories. I will run in the morning--that'll help but I am not going to eat that much. I've recently lost a ton of weight and I'm not ruining it.
ReplyDeleteHaha...I think I've known that for years, that's why Friday after Thanksgiving is the busiest day for gyms. :) I am sure I'll eat that much as well. Oy!
ReplyDeletewowzers- I gotta get on my workouts again after thanksgiving! haha
ReplyDeleteLove that dress-looks great on you!
Holy calories! And all of your outfits have been so darn cute for this challenge I highly doubt you will enter the deperation stage! ;)
ReplyDeleteI adore this outfit, it's perfect!

ReplyDeletei love that dress with the blouse underneath! what a great way to remix :)
ReplyDeleteDarn, you've made me really regret not getting that dress now! Community boards, here I come...
ReplyDeleteCalorie hell is one of the many reasons I'm grateful we don't have Thanksgiving in the UK - saving my binge day for Christmas!
