I decided that I had plenty of skirts and shoes in my 30, but needed a few more tops to go with both of my Thousand Days Skirts and these both fit the bill.
My day 7 outfit featured the newest addition to my closet and to the challenge, this navy striped top from Old Navy. I bought this the weekend before the challenge started for about $7 and although it's pretty sheer, I think I can make it work as is on the weekends. I'll definitely have to wear a white tank underneath it if I decide to wear it to work though.
Top: Old Navy
Skirt: Anthropologie Thousand Days Skirt
Belt: Anthropologie Snakebite Belt
Tights: Anthropologie Pindot Tights
Shoes: Anthropologie Rensselaer T-Straps
Todays outfit was a last minute creation. I was standing in my closet this morning regretting my decision to add the blue Daring Darts Blouse to my 30 items (seriously, why did I put the same top in two different colors in my 30?) when this outfit popped into my head. I'm still not sure what else I'm going to pair this top with in the next 22 days, but that's why this is called a challenge right?

Kim over at Anthroholic just posted that there will be a sale at Anthropologie tomorrow, but like a good remixer, I'll be sitting this one out. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the rest of you though :)

Thanks for the link love Sara! I appreciate it. I really love your outfit today -the belt really pops!
ReplyDeletePair that blue shirt with the green print skirt, the khaki skirt and the black skirt! I think you made some great choices, and you look beautiful. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that blue shirt and am glad you threw it in!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sara,
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog for a couple months now, but I'm the sort that only comments when I feel I have something of importance to say. ;)
Your recent outfits have been really amazing. Not to say that ones in the past weren't great, but your eye for style has been impressing me more and more. <3
Sara, I really like both of these outfits! I have that ON shirt in pink striped and after I washed and dried it once it was a lot less see-through - but it didn't shrink - it's like the fibers just poofed up some. I ALMOST bought it in that same navy stripe this weekend but didn't...and I would love to see you wear the tee with your khaki skirt and the tick tock cardi....hmmm....navy tights with the budding t-straps?
ReplyDeleteCute outfits! So glad I found your blog, you have great style!
ReplyDeleteKim-My husband actually wasn't a fan of the yellow belt. He likes things to match and said it didn't go with the rest of the outfit, but I liked it so I kept it :)
ReplyDeleteModernmom-Yea if all else fails, I can pair pretty much anything with the Gifted Skirt :)
Lyzi-Aw thanks Lyzi! I've been liking my challenge outfits a lot too, I just hope I can keep it up for 21 more days!
Ashley-That's good to hear that it gets less see through :) I almost got the pink one too (and the red one), but I'm trying to stop myself from buying multiples!
Good for you for not listening to hubby - I love the belt with that outfit - it looks gorgeous! All the colours are complimentary, so it does go together. You've achieved a colour-blocking effect with it, if that makes sense... :o)
ReplyDeleteI think both of these outfits are great. I got to agree that the yellow belt in the last outfit really makes it stand out. You're doing a great job with the challenge, Sara.
ReplyDeleteI really like both outfits, but the 2nd is right up my alley. I love grey, blue and yellow together, might be my fav combo...
ReplyDeleteLove both outfits, and the belt in today's outfit looks great with the neutral colors!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these outfits, Sara, but that second outfit is perfect! The yellow belt was particularly genius (despite what your husband may have said to the contrary). I love it!
