Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Hi readers! I can't believe it, but I actually won 2 giveaways that were held by fellow bloggers within the last week! I never win anything, so I have no idea how that happened! I'm so excited though and can't wait to share my new goodies with you when they arrive!

In other exciting news, there's a huge sale happening at Anthropologie tomorrow! I called customer service 3 times tonight to check on a few of my wishlist items and found out that the Mossy Atoms Skirt, the Chromatic Canvas Shirtdress, Graces Tank, Licorice Lanes Skirt (I called and got a PA on this one tonight....today was my 14th day!) and Secret Treasure Dress are going on sale. I'll be ordering all of these tomorrow morning (and probably more) for "further consideration"...AKA I tell myself it's ok to order everything I want because shipping is free and everything can be easily returned, but I inevitably end up keeping most, if not all of the stuff I buy. Good for me, bad for my wallet :/ I already ordered the Secret Treasure Dress in navy online tonight because the stock was getting low, but then I found out over on Roxy's blog that CS said that only the green version will be going on sale. I sure hope that's not true because I will have such a hard time returning it!

Last but not least is my outfit from today. I'm trying to wear all of my light/summery clothes while I still can, but honestly, I'm so done with summer. I can't wait to break out the scarves, tights, coats, gloves, and hoodies :)

Top: Anthropologie Blue Book Blouse
Tank: Gap
Skirt: Anthropologie Great Escape Skirt
Belt: Anthropologie Wear-With-All Belt
Shoes: Seychelles Trip the Light Fantastic Heels

I'll see all of you bright and early for the monster sale...Happy shopping!

  1. Congrats on winning the contests :)

I'm so sad about the sale, my few favorites aren't getting the markdown (breezy polkas, whirl wind, and insouciant tank)... I guess I should just pull trigger on the Oxer Jacket to make myself feel better :)

I'm also being sale swayed by the Doubly Dapper Dress, but MH told me I don't need it and for $80 - I really don't.

you rock navy and yellow like no other :)

(ps- thanks for the tips on EA)

  2. Wow! That's great you won 2 contests!

I'm so scared to find out what's on sale! I reminded the husband that he needs to make sure the bank account is ready for me early 3am! I'm going to try and be cool about what I really don't need, but it's so hard knowing free shipping ends soon.

Love this outfit and I'm so with you on summer being done! I have so many cardi's that I've bought this past spring that I haven't worn cause it's just been hot for so long!

May catch a nap now. Have fun online shopping later!

I wish you a happy sale day tomorrow :) I have to sit this one out (yet again) since my daughter's 3rd birthday is this sunday and we just won't have any money in the mommy shopping budget this month. oh, and congrats on the two wins! woot! can't wait to see your fun gifts! AND love the ootd - that skirt is perfection on you.

  5. Hey Sara, off-topic q...

Is your Whirl & Wind cardi stretchy? Like does the cotton hold it's shape or does it get looser w/ wear like a JCrew Jackie? Also, would you say its a summer weight (ie, thin like the deco page) or more normal like the blooming lattice?? Sorry, but I think you've sold me on it....

  10. E Hayes-When is that Breezy Polkas Cardigan going to go on sale?!? I'm tired of waiting!

Gemma-I hope you got some good stuff on sale!

    JanAlyssa-Congrats on your win!

Aimee-I'm sure the look on your daughter's face when she opens her birthday gifts will be worth more than anything you could get on sale at Anthro :)

E Hayes-The Whirl and Wind Cardigan is definitely a light weight cardigan. I've worn it a few times to work in the summertime. I would say it's a little stretchy, but I haven't had any problems with it loosing its shape yet. Hope that helps :)

Jan-I'm glad I got it too! The price was still a little steep, but I think it was worth it :)

Indecisive-Put an item that you want into your shopping bag and type a very large number like 99 into the quantity box and press update. If Anthro doesn't have 99 of that item in stock, it will show a warning in red at the top of the screen and a new number will be in the quantity box (how many they actually have in stock).

Lan-I'm hoping we both get PA's on our navy dresses in the next 2 weeks!
