While I was at Anthro, I decided to try on the Circle The Globe Skirt for the second time (My phone died the first time, so no pics). I tried both the 2 and the 4 and felt like the 2 looked less poofy on me, but was tighter at the waist and the 4 had a little bit more poof, but felt more relaxed at the waist (I think you can see the difference in poof best from the side shots). I'm wondering if the size 2 would stretch out a little at the waist after some wear? I'm thinking I'll go with the 4 since I felt more comfortable in it, but I think either size would work (All opinions are welcome!). Lengthwise, the size 4 fell right at the top of my knees and the size 2 hit maybe an inch above that (length will also depend on if you wear the skirt high on the waist or lower on the hips). At first, I thought the yellow color was too neon yellow, but now it's starting to grow on me. I probably won't buy this color full price, but will definitely pick it up on sale. Of course I love the blue/turquoise color and will pay full price for this one when I decide which size I want to get. I can't say enough good things about this skirt....highly recommended!

I bought both the teal and yellow this weekend! I loved them both so much. But the yellow is my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteAnd honestly, I don't see much difference in the way the 2 and the 4 look on you...I'd say get whichever size fits the most comfortably.
Oh, that is a super cute skirt! I love that yellow on you. I think I like the length of the size 2 better, but there's such a small difference that I would go with whichever is more comfortable. I'm off to wishlist that!

Em-I'm surprised I like the yellow so much, but it's the perfect color for summer. I can't really tell a difference in the two sizes either, which is why I think I'll probably go for the 4.

Spiffy-I have to admit, I have less love for this skirt than the Thousand Days Skirt because it doesn't have a zipper. Skirts with an elastic waist are not my favorite :(
Hmm interesting that you felt the 2 was a bit too close-fitting. I can barely see a difference between the 2 and the 4 so I think you should go for whatever makes you comfortable. Love the teal on you!
ReplyDeleteI can't really see a difference but I know I felt it when I tried it on too. Both colors look great on you, and I didn't even think I liked the yellow! Definitely pick up the teal soon, it seems to be selling out fast.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same sad camp as Spiffy and could not feel the love for this skirt on myself. It looks great on you in both colors! I see the teal is already selling out online! I'd probably pay full-price for the yellow though too, so you can get lots of wear out of it during the Summer months...
ReplyDeleteI like the teal on you, but I prefer the fit of the yellow. The size difference is subtle, but I can see it in the drape and where the gathering meets the waistband.

ReplyDeleteBoth colors look great. I'm a big fan of the teal because it's one of my favorite colors, but the yellow is nice for summer. And I don't notice a difference between the two sizes. Everyone keeps talking about the "poof," but I guess I feel like it's just part of the style of the skirt. In any case, go with whatever feels more comfortable for you because I think they both look great!
ReplyDeleteRoxy-Thanks Roxy! I really liked the teal on you as well :) The 2 wasn't so tight that it was leaving marks on my skin, it just wasn't as relaxed as I would have liked. But I feel like the 2 has just the right amount of poofiness...decisions decisions!

Jan-I saw that there were only a few sizes left of the teal too! I can't believe it's selling out so fast! That's the one thing I hate about waiting for things to go on sale...by the time it does, summer will be over!
Cat-Can you really see a difference in size between the two colors? It's so hard for me to see a difference...they all look the same!
Erin-I got my belt in a small. I heard that it stretched out over time, so I didn't want it to end up being too big. It works great with dresses (I wear it at my waist), but I have a hard time wearing it with skirts that are lower on the hips. It fits, but if I sit down, it rides up towards my waist.
Rebekah-I like both colors too! I can't make a decision on that or the size! I'll let you know when I do though :)
