OOTD and Some Bad News :(

Oh what a night tonight has been (and not in a good way)! The day started off with me at Anthropologie returning my Above-The-Fray Skirt that I received in the mail yesterday. I tried it on and it just didn't work for me. It kept riding up in the front and was much shorter than I remembered. The good thing about this trip was that I got to try on a handful of new arrivals (including a certain skirt I've been waiting for!).

The bad part of the day came this evening when my fiance hit his computer out of frustration and broke it :( It started making some weird sound and the screen went totally black. We're going to try to go to Best Buy to save the hard drive, but who knows if that's possible. This is bad news for me because I've been using his computer since last fall when mine broke. I've wanted to get a new one, but just never have. So now we have no computer (except my work computer that I'm using now, but I'm not supposed to use that for personal use), just our I-Phones. So I might not be blogging for a while, at least until we get this computer situation figured out. Can anyone recommend a good computer/brand for me? I've always used HP, but any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Here's what I wore shopping today:

Cardigan: JCrew
Tank: Through-The-Clouds Tank
Skirt: Anthropologie Landing Field Skirt
Shoes: Anthropologie Ringsend Heels

I'll post my reviews from today as soon as we get a working computer. Hope everyone has a good Monday and I'll talk to you all soon (hopefully!)!

  1. Oh no - so sorry about the computer! My hard drive crashed on my Mac last month and I was so sad to loose everything. It was under warranty only 10 more days so I got a brand new hard drive for free at least. I would recommend the Mac book - or Imac - we love them. I went to F21 but no sweater! They told me they only carry that brand at a different location near me - sorry!!

  2. Peggy-Thanks for looking for the sweater! I think it's probably going to be hard to find. Do you have a Macbook or Macbook Pro? People keep telling me to switch over to Mac, so maybe it's time I did!

  3. This is gonna sound crazy, but for awhile, Big Lots had great deals on Gateways (I had purchased mine at Best Buy, but it was wayyyy cheaper at Big Lots). You have to ask someone at the counter if they have computers. Totally sounds wacky and I almost wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't gone in there myself.

  4. MacBook! (I have never needed the Pro, just good ol' MacBook). Customer service is amazing. My logic board (whatever that is) just quit working after 4 years. I dropped it off last Tuesday afternoon at a Mac store, they shipped it off and had it back in my hands by Friday for a very reasonable price. I have never had any other problems and it is so intuitive to use them. You should go check them out.

  5. I switched from PC's to a MAC 2 years ago and Love it! I'd highly recommend a MacBook or MacBook Pro. Unless you use a lot of sites that don't like Safari (but you can download Internet explorer) everything is simpler and cleaner with a mac. I also find that you tend to doge a lot of the Microsoft problems when you use a Mac and Microsoft office for Mac.
Anyway, sorry about your computer troubles!

  6. I'm going to be contrary to the crowd, since I am a PC girl through and through, but when my computer died last fall, I ended up getting a Sony VAIO with Windows 7 and I love it. My sister has also had a VAIO for the past year and a half and she loves it also. Just a suggestion if you decide not to jump on the Mac train. Good luck!

  7. I got a Macbook Pro almost 2 years ago and I also have a PC. I was forced to use the Mac more (long story) and I love it. Boots up in about 2 minutes, if that long, while the PC would still be thinking about booting up. Using Office for Mac is a breeze after you get over the difference. I suggest you take a look at Mac before you decide. Sony VAIO is a good product, but if you're going to pay a premium over a HP or Dell, look at the Mac line. Good Luck.

  8. Macs all the way. Simple, quick, and efficient. Macs can be expensive, but they pays off in the long run because they last forever.
