Happy Hump Day! So about two weeks ago, I posted about how I would wear the Alena Skirt on the weekend (
here). I mentioned that I had no clue how I was going to style it for work, but now I think I've found a few different options. The option that I chose to wear on Monday included one of my newest purchases, the
Blooming Lattice Cardigan. I tried this on a while back in the green color and did not like it AT ALL. I'm so glad I gave the navy one a chance because I really love it now! It's funny how a color can completely change your mind about something. This cardigan is VERY cropped, but I think it should work fine with high waisted skirts.

Cardigan: Anthropologie Blooming Lattice Cardigan
Skirt: Anthropologie Alena Skirt
Shoes: Anthropologie Budding T-Straps
I'll be back tomorrow with my OOTD which will feature another new purchase of mine!
Great minds think alike! I was going to wear this exact same outfit this week!
ReplyDeleteWe're in sync today! I'm wearing my new Alena skirt as well (outfit post incoming!).
ReplyDeleteI really love it with that cardigan and you've tied the whole outfit together really nicely with the Budding T-Straps: adorable.
This is such a darling outfit...may I ask what size you are, and what size you are wearing the Alena Skirt in? I'm considering trying this skirt, but have no idea what size i'd be...my Great Escape and Thousand days skirts are a 2, but i've heard the Alena runs small..perhaps I need a 4?
ReplyDeleteWow! You look adorable; I love all the navy and blush. Great colour combination!
ReplyDeleteTien that's too cute... I think a lot of us are starting to think the same when it comes to styling!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful outfit, as usual! The collar of the Blooming Lattice cardigan matches so well with the Alena Skirt and the shoes...I may have to borrow this styling :)
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is too cute! I'm thinking I might have to get the Alena skirt...I will probably go with the navy, though.
ReplyDeleteI just bought the Blooming Lattice cardigan in green! I'm so in love with it already!
beautiful! the cardigan and shoes look like they were made for each other. i am going to recreate this entire look. :)
ReplyDeleteCute! I love that cardi and skirt.
ReplyDeletePerfection! I love the cardi with the skirt and the shoes are just icing to such a darling OOTD!
ReplyDeleteTien-That's too funny! They go together so well don't they? Can't wait to see it on you!
ReplyDeleteBritish Anthropologiest-I LOVE your outfit today! I need the Night Skating Top so that I can re-create your look!
Sharon-My Alena Skirt is a 6. I tried the 4 and it zipped, but was way too tight/short. My Thousand Days/Great Escape Skirt is a 4.
Carly-It is funny how we are all starting to dress very similar! I being able to get so many different outfit ideas from all of you ladies!
Rebekah-The collar and the petals on the cardigan do go perfectly with the skirt. This cardigan is definitely a keeper!
Em-The green cardigan was really cute, just didn't look right on me. You should definitely buy the Alena Skirt! I love the navy too! It's so girly/feminine and will go with lots of different tops.
Anonymous-Definitely re-create it! I'm so glad it inspired you!
Krameymartin-Thanks! It's funny to think that I didn't really like either of them at first, but then I realized my mistake!
Jan-I probably wear these shoes too much, but they go with everything and are too cute!
Hmm...I didn't go for the Openwork Vines, should I go for the Alena? I already have the green Blooming Lattice... If they have it in when I visit Anthro in 1 1/2 weeks in my size it will be mine. Cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteGemma-Go for it! I got the Alena Skirt instead of the Openwork Vines Skirt just because it was more "me" and I could wear it with more things. I hope it's still there when you go. There aren't many left in my stores, but you could always order it online. Oh and cute outfits on Kim's blog!
