1. Ablaze Dress-$149.95

I never tried this dress on at full price because I knew I would never buy it, but when it hit sale, I decided to give it a try. I'm usually a 6 in dresses, but my store didn't have a 6 so I grabbed the 8. As you can see, the 8 fits very well (the SA said it ran small), but it is still a little big in the chest (you can't tell from the picture). I tend to have that problem with dresses since I'm small up top. I'd probably buy this in a 6, but I'm hoping to try and find a 6 in another store to try on before I make a final decision. I loved the color of the dress (the SA said orangy red, but it's more tomato to me) and I loved how it felt on. I'm hoping it gets a second cut so I can pick it up. $150 is still a little steep for me!
2. County Fair Dress-$99.95

I had never seen this dress in stores, but it was in my wish list anyway because it looked so cute online! I was hoping it would get another cut so I could order it online. Lucky for me, when I went to my store on Wednesday, they had a return in my size 6! Unfortunately, when I put the dress on, all my excitement was gone. First off, it was a very heavy material. I couldn't imagine wearing that outside in the hot summer! Then, it was too big in the chest, but I really didn't like the dress enough to consider hunting down a 4 in stores. To top it off, I felt like I belonged in a ballet/dance class! It just didn't look or feel how I expected it to, so this one is definitely a pass and off the wish list!
3. New York, New York Dress-$168

I really loved this dress when I saw it on a few other bloggers and was excited to see it in my store last weekend. I knew right away that I probably shouldn't even try the dress on since I probably would never wear it to work (if I buy an Anthro dress I have to be able to wear it to work), but I wanted to try anyway. I loved the vibrant colors and that the dress is unique and different. But I don't like to stand out in a crowd and I feel like this dress would do just that. It was also a little big in the chest, but I feel like the waist would be too tight in the 4. I might come back and consider this one when it goes on sale, but for now it's a pass.
4. State Fair Dress-$138

I grabbed this dress in a 6 (that's what's shown in the picture), but it was too big, so I'd buy it in a 4. I really like the color (a pinky red), the buttons down the front, and the length (above the knee). I didn't like that the dress didn't have a lining (it felt strange on) and the band at the waist felt like it sat a little too high. I think I'd definitely get this on sale though because there are a lot of pros and I could also wear it to work.
5. Wright Dress-$168

I usually don't even try on strapless dresses because I can't hold them up, but when I found out this one had straps that could be added, I decided to give it a try. Also, after all the talk of this dress possibly going on sale last week, I decided I needed to try it on to see what size I would be in case it does go on sale in a few weeks. I grabbed my true size 6, but after trying it on, knew I needed a 4 (fit much better). Overall, I really loved the planes on the dress and I loved the "poof" underneath the dress, but I don't know if the dress loved me. I'm just not sure the color looks good against my skin tone (I usually try to stay away from grays since I'm so fair). I do think it looks better with a cardigan, but I won't want to wear that in the summer. What do you guys think? Also, I might be able to get away with wearing this to work on casual Friday, but I'm not sure about other days.
That's all of my reviews for tonight, but I have plenty more skirt/top reviews from last weekend to share. Let me know what you think!
